Hi, I am Frances Copeland Lucas. I was once a quiet and shy individual until one day I learned about what real leadership was. A light bulb went off in my head and I realized I could be a leader, too. So I mustered up some courage, started getting ideas about how to help others and took action. I believe that we all have the ability to lead. This blog is to help people learn their leadership abilities or find their leadership light bulb just as I did!

I write on discovering your leadership abilities and help with action steps to get you started. I am still on my journey as a leader and will also write about things I have discovered along the way. Occasionally, I will tell part of my story to relate to someone who may need to hear it so they know they aren’t alone.

I have lived in Birmingham, Alabama for over 40 years. I  am a working single mother with three “should be grown” children and have progressively strengthened my faith while God has improved my life through mistakes, persistence and a sense of humor. My passion in life surfaced after major setbacks which proved to me that good things can come from bad experiences. I believe God’s purpose for my life is to share my experiences and help others to learn from their life struggles and mistakes so they can be who God wants them to be and serve both Him and others. I am a Christian coach who also coaches in career development and personal improvement, facilitates self-improvement classes and enjoy swriting.

I have a degree in business management and a master in human resources. I am also a graduate of Corporate Coach University, and have also obtained certifications in performance management, consulting and organizational development, and am a certified coaching clinic facilitator. I have developed leadership, employee development and mentoring programs and am experienced with both group and one-on-one coaching. My passion is helping women through women’s ministry networks by coaching, facilitating classes and facilitating retreats.

I have recently created an 8-week program called “Are You Ready” to help others find their testimony and also what God wants them to do in their life. I created Breadcrumbs which are motivational cards to leave behind to make a difference in the lives of others in the areas of relationships, health, finance, career and spirituality. From Breadcrumbs came my first book, “Breadcrumbs from Genesis” which is a devotional journal to help others slowly read through the Bible, find out what God wants them to learn from it and how they can apply it to their lives. I am now working on my fourth devotional book.

My book began from reading God’s word and taking time for Him first thing every morning. God continues to open doors and opportunities for me as I continue my journey through the Bible where I read one chapter a day and ask God what I can do to help others understand His word better. My message to others is to put Him first in all they do and wait for Him to show them what they can do through sharing their testimony and using their talents to make a difference.
